I love the bay window in this room! The soup toureen my mother gave me and the plate holder I bought originally for my mom but once I saw it in there I couldn't part with it.(sorry Mom I owe you one) The little oil lamp I got when a gift store was going out of business for $4.99. The little bulb even flickers.

This little shelf I got at a yard sale for$3.00 and you guessed it painted it white. It was a great find for storing all my treasures on!

This little corner hutch was going to be white until I liked how it went with the curtains and kinda broke up the white.

Just another view of dining room. The hutch and the shelves were also bargain finds. I painted them my signature white.

This is a sideboard I got about 13 years ago and it was oak. Ipainted it a fresh coat of yellow about 4 years ago and kinda distressed it. All wood lovers I know I can hear you crying.

These are the curtains I made for dining room. I added the berries and wreath for fun. Love that fabric!!!

This is the dining room. We just recently peeled ugly grasscloth wallpaper off the walls. (yes, I see it is coming back in style) I made the curtains from Joanne's fabric and covered the chandaliers shades with matching fabric. My son who is in school for carpentry(ho,ho) put up the chair rail.

This bench I got several years ago for $12.00. It was a country blue and of course I painted it. The cushion I recovered with fabric on clearance at Joanne's. It sits in my front entry way. I must admit it isn't very comfy but it is cute!

This is the living room. Love that rounded wall which is a closet.

This is my fireplace in living room. The sconces above it were another Lowe's clearance find. Oh and by the way for those who know me I only painted the walls twice! I've been known to paint and repaint until I find a shade I like!

This is in my living room. The ladder in the corner I found at a store for $15.00. It became the perfect home to display my Great gma's quilt.

This is also in the sunroom. The plant stand I found at a yard sale for$3.00 and it was brown so I spray painted it. The wicker rockers I found for sale at a victorian house for $50.00 a piece.(That was a splurge for me!!)
Here is another view of my sunroom. The chandalier I got on clearance at Target a couple of years back. The shades I got at Lowe's on clearance they are Waverly. So I think all together it cost me $24.00. Cute things don't have to cost much. Just keep your eyes peeled for bargains . Also when you find things think of unexpected ways to use them.

This is one view of my sunroom. I hope to find some before pics because it was awful! Wheen we first moved in it had pink carpet and the walls were a bad shade of green. We pulled up the carpet to reveal a vintage green linoleum with ivory swirls on it. We lived with that for awhile. Recently we laid these tiles. It looks a million times better!!

The peonies have bloomed! Always love that!

This is in my dining room. I also have white mini lights inside the hutch and it looks really cute at night. I will post more pictures later. Anyone out there who loves Shabby Chic like me would love to swap ideas with you!!

This is a birdhouse I put this on top of an old ladder. I placed it in my sun room.
I found this adorable chair and adde the potted plant and for an added touch of whimsy I added the metal ladybug.
